Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1948. Raised in Dixon, Illinois until 11 years old when family moved to Tucson, Arizona. Educated in Catholic Schools. University of Arizona majors in Nursing, minors Philosophy and Religious Studies. Additional studies in Business Management with Bachelor of Science Degree from Tucson University. Post graduate studies in Journalism. Moved to Southern California in 2010 and currently reside in Crestline, California. Retired Commercial Property Manager in 2001. Married to Lydia Diane Benson with three children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Served in the United States Marine Corps with 7th Marines with service in Vietnam in 1968-69. Founder and Past Commandant of Apple Valley Marine Corps League. Currently Veteran Service Officer and Chaplain. Life Member of Vietnam Veterans of America, VVA, Disabled Veterans of America, DAV. Marine Corps League. Member of American Legion, Veteran of Foreign of Wars and Rim of the World Veterans/ Chaplain.
